might 的用法篇二
●1. 表示允許
（1） 表示請求允許（即請求別人允許自己做某事）,，兩者都可用，只是 might 表示的語氣較委婉（但并不表示過去）,。如：
may i come round in the morning? 我早上來行嗎,？
i wonder if i might use your phone. 不知可否用一下你的電話。
i’d like to ask a question if i may. 如果可以的話,，我想提個問題,。
（2） 表示給予允許（即自己允許別人做某事），只用能 may而不能用might,。如：
you may stop now. 你現(xiàn)在可以停下來了,。
you may leave when you’ve finished. 你做完以后就可以走。
you may not tell him this. 你不可以告訴他這件事,。
體會以下對話的問句與答句：
a：may [might] i stay? 我可以留下嗎,？（表請求，可用兩者）
b：yes, you may. 可以,。（表允許,，不能用 might）
注意，might 表示允許通常不表示過去,，但是在間接引語（即賓語從句）中可以用作 may 的過去式來轉(zhuǎn)述已給予的允許,。如：

●2. 表示推測
兩者都可用,，只是 might 比 may 語氣更不確定,，表示的可能性更?。ㄗ⒁獯藭r的might并不表過去）。在句型使用方面：may通常用于肯定句或否定陳述句,，一般不用于疑問句（疑問句中用 can, 參見 can）,，而might 則可用于肯定句、否定句或疑問句,。在用法方面注意以下幾點：

①表示過去本來可能發(fā)生而實際上沒有發(fā)生的情況，通常譯為“本來可以”“本來可能”等,。如：
she felt horror at the thought of what might have happened. 一想到之前可能會發(fā)生的事情她就感到害怕,。
you were stupid to try climbing up there. you might have killed yourself. 你從那兒往上爬，太蠢了,，你可能會摔死的,。
②表示過去本來有責(zé)任或義務(wù)應(yīng)該做某事的，但實際上卻沒有做成,，含有批評和責(zé)備的意味,，通常譯為“本來應(yīng)該”“本來可以”等。如：
you might have told us half an hour ago. 你半個鐘頭前告訴我就好了,。
you might have taken the trouble to tell me the meeting was put off. 你本來可以費心告訴我一聲會議推遲了的,。
③用于虛擬條件句中談?wù)撨^去的情況時：
if you hadn’t reminded me, i might have forgotten. 你如不提醒我，我可能就忘記了,。

●3. 用于 may [might] (just) as well
