黃獅寨腰子寨
黃獅寨為作守界諸峰之冠,，也是張家界諸景之冠,，早有“不登黃獅寨，枉到張家界”之說,。黃獅寨海拔1200米,，四周峭壁削立，唯前卡門與后卡門兩條獨路可通寨頂,。在攀登前卡門的路上,，但見千峰插地，怪石如林,，有海螺峰,、一線天、天書寶匣,、南天一柱等景點,。“天書寶匣”乃一長方形巨石橫臥峰頂,，巨石一端平抽出半節(jié)蓋子,，活脫脫一部“天書”被盜走的空匣。而黃獅寨的絕景是在山頂?shù)沫h(huán)形觀景臺上,，那里晴日遠眺群山,，但見密森深處竄起股股白煙，如妖神的森森鬼氣,；接著是柱狀白煙逐漸消融,，而云團、云帶從山腰涌起,，撲向山頭,，蔚為壯觀。那里雨后鳥瞰整個張家界全景,，但見峽谷升起的白霧,，在山峰間翻滾飛騰，如群魔亂舞,，愈來愈大,，愈來愈濃；最后整個黃獅寨淹沒于茫茫云海,，只有點點孤峰,，飄浮于云海之上。還有黃獅寨周圍那群山連綿的屏障,，間以奇花異草的深溝幽谷,，與黃山景觀大異其趣；那無際的原始森林,，至今仍有待人們?nèi)び奶诫U,。
腰子寨的“天橋”更是鬼斧神工之作，人稱“天下第一橋”,。兩座相連的山峰間,，腰部有一弧形門洞，形成一座天然石橋,。橋高20余米,，橋洞弧長三四十米，遠望如彩虹,、如新月,、如洞天仙境的門楣。從“橋”的一側(cè)的石級登上長有排排古松和鋪地苔花的“橋”頂,，天風(fēng)料峭,，橋脊窄險,；特別是從“橋”另一側(cè)向下俯視，但見石壁直落千丈,，并圍成圓桶狀,，桶底石峰如劍似筍，如指青天,，更襯出天然石橋的高險,。桶底還有一座石峰頂端托起一方天然的石盒，盒內(nèi)長有幾棵杜鵑花,，構(gòu)成景內(nèi)之景,，令人驚嘆不置。下“天橋”登腰子寨頂峰,，又可見到石峰上天然衍生出的石殿城堡式建筑,，其輪廓類似柬埔寨的吳哥窟，也有些像西藏的布達拉宮,，當(dāng)?shù)厝朔Q之為“鎮(zhèn)妖群塔”,。
金鞭溪
